There are several cases in which the smart card is not read successfully when the student crosses the smart gate:

1. The smart card may be with the student, but it is placed horizontally in the bag under the books, which makes it difficult to read when crossing the smart gate. 📚

The resolve :

First, you must make sure that the material of the cloth or the leather of the bag or the card case does not block the reading of data through it (some cardholders, which we have seen used in some schools by some students, are designed with a liner that prevents reading through it because it is designed primarily to protect credit cards).

Secondly, if the student prefers to keep the smart card inside the bag during the crossing, it is preferable to place it in the side pocket of the bag so that it is near the smart gate when crossing through it.

2. The smart card may be held in the student's hand horizontally or away from the card reader in the smart gate. 😔

The resolve :

The best and fastest way to read a smart card is to hold it in the hand and pass it on while crossing the mark on both sides of the smart gate.

3. The card that was handed over to the student might be the Demo card for the printing experience, which is not a smart card and does not contain any technology that the smart gate can read. 😥😮

The resolve :

Refer to the school administration to read the card information and ensure that it is a smart card. You can see How can I make sure that the card is for the printing experience or is it a smart card?

The student can be directed - after confirming the above solutions - to exit and then repeat the crossing through the smart gate for the card to be read and attendance registration or exit properly.
